y is that tho? am i off plane? i really feel like something easy can fix my swing all these practicing is making my wrist and thumb hurts. i don't know hwat happened to me LOL one day i was just like this.
i don't know this helps but i broke my glove twice in a week on the thumb area with my nail is.
don't know if this is correct but i just stretch my left thumb out a little and it stop moving on the top but i feel like it's less in the finger now which i don't think it's correct.
old way
If your thumb moved during bsw, the grip was wrong. Looks like you've been trying to go to the extreme of holding the club in the fingers - fingers only!?
The new one looks much better, but still it looks a too loose to me.
Does the heel pad give good enough support? Thumb pad could be wrapped around more, touching or almost touching the index finger.
I haven't really tried to hit the ball yet, but i've been trying practice swings at home with this pattern. It looks like SD which is the video I purchased a while ago. I was watching it again yesterday and realized he said it's ok to have a soft wrist at the top instead of a completely flat/arch wrist which causes me to have this laid off position at the top. I still think i bring the club alil bit higher but I think once i hit some balls i will learn where the right position for me. As for the thumb position it's easier to show you guys in the video.
so i break it down into 3 segments and the last segments shows that i'm pressing down on my thumb down to the shaft. It feels great at the top. We'll see what happens next. I still have problems with staying in the center during the backswing but i did read in one of the BM's lesson some guy talk about backswing feeling the "FAT" love handle and then stretch it out during the downswing. SD is actually the very first natural swing that I had 1 year ago, it definitely felt like my old swing maybe i didn't need to change it, but i did change it because I'm always looking to improve my swing. I went down to a local PGA pro in IRVINE CA and they told me I had to do this and that and totally felt unnatural to me but you know they always tell you yeah you will get use to it. I don't think i ever really got use to it, i just force my self to do that. When i saw the SD video I was like wow that's the old swing that i had before. Since BM said it's 85 percent ideally pure swing I thought i didn't need to pay too much attention to it. Well the new developed swing causes me to have back problems, shoulder pains. I'm glad that BM showed me what I need to learn. The most important thing I learn today is that everybody has a different build, you can't try to swing like one and another, play what you play the best pattern with.
thank you guys for your helps and thank you Brian for everything.
i'm not sure what's happening to me..but from a 85-90 mph swing to...110 mph swing on driver..is certainly something that has never happened to me before.
Any how I went on the range at 6am today hit 460 balls and alot of balls were fat. Low ball flight and going to the left (hook). I feel like I was slapping the ball. I took a video, I think the problem is Somehow i'm lifting my arms at the top I'm not sure.
if that's the case i guess i should lay off golf for a while, and work out more! I'll keep working on it, not a quitter. I feel confident that it will come to me. Ok i tried to let the hands to be more passive at the top....and i think it worked better.

If you stop the vid' on your "down the line" back swing at the point where your hands are just beginning to bisect your right shoulder (point. 1) then move it on a couple of frames or so you will see the cause of your problem.
Your back swing, effectively, has ended at point. 1 (the "Top") there is no real need to go any further; you gain nothing and lose a lot. However, you ruin the whole back swing process, and purpose, by adding that little bit of extra grunt that immediately preceeds your down swing.
You stand up a little, you gain a flying right elbow and you cross the line before you get to the end of your back swing.
The start of your down swing is then a downward dip and heave caused entirely by the adding of that little bit of extra grunt.
Cut out the extra and you will fix your problem.
Apply the power through the hitting area and not at the top, where it gets mostly thrown away along with any precision that you might have hoped for.
