Powerline swing trainer?

It seems like a novel idea, but the recommendation about using wiffle balls concerns me. Can you imagine skulling one, only to have it ricochet and nail you, ahem, below the belt? I don't think I could take the club back with that in mind.
 
It definately doesn't look like something that would be taken back and forth to the range and I don't think it is a replacement for lessons with a good instructor, but I thought it looked like a pretty good tool to use on your deck/backyard to work on backswing plane/path, downswing plane/path, club, hand, and arm delivery paths, and post impact path. It looks like it may help people swing more left/right depending on their swing tendancies because it gives visual assistance for doing so.
