Intermediate target.
That spot in front of the ball.
I dont use it cause I tend to focus and stare at it too long and it can disrupt my rhythm.
I usually align with the distance target..ie the flag, treetop etc and then just set up with that target in mind and use the ball as the "intermediate target." and swing left.
However, lately I been swinging right with my irons as it's seems more natural.
I have to find a spot in front of the ball to align my left shoulder to (not the clubface)
I have been weakening my grip and closing my posture/stance a bit to swing right.
and make the same rhythmic swing toward the flag.
Seems to work for me but I have no idea why.
What is strange is I am using a spot intermediate target for body alignment not for clubface.
Is this just me? or has anyone else tried this?
