Pulling my irons

Was wondering if someone has any thoughts on this:

I'm badly pulling my short irons. My 9 iron will usually miss by 20+ yards. For the most part, the shots start left and draw more left. As an experiment, I weakened my grip and I started hitting soft draws which start right of the target. The trouble is I cant hit it consistently with the weaker grip ( I feel like my wrist is gonna break at the of the swing). Also I should add that I hit my driver and 3w pretty well (soft draws) although my misses are pulls.

Are my pulls simply the result of my grip? My lie angle seems to be fine. My suscipion is that either my grip tends to get stronger during my backswing or that I have overactive hands (I used not open my hips very much on the downswing so I had to manipulate the club face with my hands).

Possibly an early release. A couple of thoughts to try are to feel like you don't roll your hands until after the ball is gone. And it may be from getting under plane. May be time to use NHA or do a search on the tumble--feel like the clubhead stays outside the hands throughout the swing.

Watched the tumble video. My left wrist has a tendency to face down when the club reaches parallel to the ground on the follow through. I know I do this mainly to avoid the occassional hosel rocket.
