I watched the flipper video this weekend. Went to the range and working on the action Brian teaches (flat left wrist and pivot), I hit some very good irons, albeit a little shorter than normal. My driver however was high pulls that were very short. Suggestions?

Do a search on this forum for DRIVER TIPS.

But here is a simple short list:

1. Ball as far forward as you can

2. Head as far right as you can

3. Angle of attack as shallow as you can

4. Plenty of Axis Tilt WITH plenty of hips and chest open

5. ALL OF THE ABOVE WITHIN "Golf Like" POSITIONS

I actually found...

That I hit the ball farther, with less effort by using the stuff in flipper.

Brian gave you some good stuff. I found that after working on the irons for a long time, I get steep on my driver. One thing Brian told me in a lesson was keep the driver going relatively low going back AND going through the ball.

The axis tilt Brian mentions is what I lose during the downswing that causes strong pulls. However, I usually don't hit high pulls. When I hit high it is either the ball is tee'd up too high or...I am steep.

My guess is more practice. To paraphrase Brian, "The guy has done something a certain way for 20 years, it will take time to ingrain a different action."
