Watching a little European Tour from South Africa. Struck by how much better Retief Goosen seems to be swinging it. Seems a lot less across-y and under-y from the top and in the downswing.
Anybody think he'll make a bit of a comeback in 2012?

Has there been problems? He dropped off of the pace of winning the US Open every other year, but I think he has played OK. It also seems to me that he plays a lot of events worldwide.

I heard he was embarking on wholesale swing changes a couple of years ago. Seems like they are working out just fine.

His putting is hard to watch some times. It almost looks like has a hard time taking it back on the short ones. Especially when you remember how good his putting was when he won his 2 U.S. Opens.

But his full swing is really looking good. Maybe his improved ball striking can take some of the pressure off of his putter.

Shinnecock may have been the greatest single putting exhibition of all time. He def had swing issues that caused an undercut but if he doesn't putt like he once did there can't be a complete comeback. Guys like him are judged by majors only.

Always seemed to fight a quick hook, but when you survive getting hit by lightening, i guess hooking the ball and three putting aint so bad...
