Observe Quiros' move at his transition, where he lays the club off slightly before getting into his tumble. Sergio has a similar move as do others. The question is, is this an arm movement or a result of another body movement? Is this a conscious move on the golfer's part.

Didn't Kevin call it a reverse tumble? If I remember correctly, it could be used as a way to be able to add a lot of right arm/hand tumble into impact for added speed.

I can't see the video at the moment, but ever since reading about the reverse tumble, it became clear to me that that is Leadbetter's favorite downswing move, and also maddening that he didn't give some options!

Leadbetter may or may not advocate this move for his students but he didn't or couldn't do it with his own swing.

I don't think you can learn this move if it doesn't come somewhat naturally.I mean in reality do this move, not just feel like you are doing it.It kinda helps if you have a steepish backswing.

Faldo is also renowned for this move.

One method of emulating this move is to bend the right wrist back (dorsiflex) even further during your transition, which has the effect of dropping your right arm downward and into the side of your body, ala Quiros.

It's a move I would be careful playing around with, as it will inevitably change the plane of your downswing, in sone cases considerably

Working on the tumble helps with this.

To me....the tumble is moving everything counter clockwise in the downswing. Left arm, right arm....everything.

I know in my swing, I have a tendency to move the left arm clockwise and the club gets really underplane.

As far as Quiros, it seems counter intuitive, but when I rotate the left arm counter clockwise and keep the left shoulder lower in the downswing...a Quiros "like" movement happens.

That is what I thought. I am not actively trying this, but I have noticed in my practice lately with more NHA that I am developing more arm drop before I unwind and it 'feels' a little like Quiros looks (If that makes sense). I think it is different for me because I have never had this much drop before.

To me it looks as though his left arm is pressed against his chest as his body turns back into the downswing. The angle of the turning chest lays the club off a bit, loading power accumulator #4 in the process.
