Right foot coming up on downswing

My right foot is coming up WAY too much on the downswing, and I would like to know how to learn to keep it down. If anyone has any drills or advice to keep it flat [I would like to keep it almost totally flat if possible] on the ground, that would be great.

I know some people will post why are you worrying about that right foot? Because its [and some other things, but I know this one for a fact] causing me to lose spine angle and also lose lag.

Thanks for any help.

start by hitting short pitch shots from a fairly narrow stance with the ball more forward than usual, mabye a foot wide and 2-3 inches inside your left heel. keep both feet on ground and hit the ball with your pivot, with FLW etc. when you move to longer swings, from the top the the backswing, try to feel your lower body is still and your arms swing PAST your body. this may feel like your hanging back and not transfering your weight but this is what the feeling of a flat right foot will feel like. what can happen however, is the ROLLING of the feet. jack nicklaus talked about this, where the weight moves to the INSIDE of your foot, instead of your toes. hope these help

Hi Ben, nice to see you on another forum. I do not know if this move is correct from the swing mechanics point of view, but I've found that if one flares the right foot out it promotes rolling instead lifting.
I also noticed Hogan flared right foot a bit - despite he did not recommend it in "5 Lessons".

Cheers

Thanks for all the replys.

Yes, I do have former flipper, but I deffinally do not swing too far to the right. I try to employ the hardy 1ps, so I swing pretty left.
