Right forearm takeaway?

Thanks man.....one more thing that comes to my mind (for reasons to deviate from "geometrically perfect") is preference for ball flight.

i.e. Hogan's swing is the best swing of all time with relation to NEVER hitting it left...

Great swing....yes. Textbook RFP, etc.....no.

And- not Geometrically Perfect but then again, and I've heard Brian say something like this before....it might be beneficial for Swingers to give Physics (CF) presidence over Geometry (structure).

...while still keeping Geometry in mind, of course.

The point I was trying to make in a subtle way, and I accept I might be wrong, is that a good RFP and STT are both the same. The thing is ... defining the two.

Cool cool.....I get it man. I just got on a roll. [:p]

I've been thinking about all this stuff lately so it came out in this topic.

Good point BTW....I'm glad you reiterated it. If Tiger is taking it outside like he did (where the shaft pointed outside the ball during the backswing....not sure if he STILL does- with his new swing) is that really a STT? He may feel his shoulders turn first, and feel the connection at PP#4 but, I think you may be right, there's no way for that club to lift to the outside like that w/o something lifting it.

Actually....I just tried doing that outside takeaway with my left arm only (no right arm to lift anything) and you could push it outside with your left arm/pivot or w/e.....but you can only do that for a few feet, more or less straight outwards.....you can't take it UP-plane very far w/o help from the right arm.

They are not the same thing, UNLESS when doing the RFP, you end up with a fully cranked flywheel. When using RFP, extremely flexible players will end up in a good position, but without the juice to spin the rotor.
