Right Shoulder, Roundhousing and Getting "Stuck"

I have learned that I do not have the best of clubface control so I have been working through NSA. I have also learned that by starting my downswing with an aggressive hip rotation after a slight bump to the left that I am better able to square the clubface and create more lag. I can play decent golf with this move, but it always results in a medium draw with irons and a big draw with my driver.

Does this mean that I am roundhousing? I researched a lot of old threads about right shoulder down plane and such, but I would like to discuss it more and know some symptoms of roundhousing. I watched BMAN show #4 about this and it doesn't work for me, as I am unable to get to the ball without flipping.

BTW, is "swinging more left" more a function of straightening the plane line or releasing the clubhead properly after impact?

I think it has more to do with Path, as far as "swinging more left".

BUT; I would love to hear more on this too. One of my biggest problems is "spinning out" which I also contribute to "round-housing" as you put it. I have an aggressive pivot and can Wallop the ball with it, but I lose balance and tend to fall towards the plane line on my follow-through.

Most of the time, you shouldn't try to "turn JUST your hips" through the ball.

I like to tell golfers to TURN BOTH the hips and the chest throuh the ball.

There is NO SUCH THING as "stuck." What it is, is, swinging too far to the right.

Here is a drill from "Never Slice Again 2"....

Put a ball about a foot forward and three inches left of the real ball—hit 'em both.

Can it be a hard tendency to change in some people Brian?

Cause it seems to me like there's a fine line between a nice move down to the EP with lots of squat and swinging too far to the right......"too much" of a good thing? (I feel hesitant with that tho)

You say lots of good golfers get into doing it (swing too far to right)....why? Clubface?

For me it is a clubface control issue. I still haven't got to the point where I trust that I am lagging the sweetspot.
