Right shoulder

I can't think fast enough to first let my arms drop and then go with the shoulder. I need a key that helps me drop my arms and then go with shoulder.

I would just identify what the shaft looks like when you drop your arms and you hit the ball successfully, then focus on dropping it to that position and pivoting.

Interesting.

I would very much like to see video of someone who has tilt but their right shoulder goes out.

Just because a player creates axis tilt as the primary goal does not guarantee the right shoulder will drop and move downplane. It may or it may not.

If a player drops the right shoulder down early it is pretty hard to not get axis tilt as a by product.I would like to see a player that has lots of right shoulder drop not have any tilt.

As you requested I have posted videos of Ben Curtis. He has axis tilt but his right shoulder remains high and works out towards the target line quite quickly for a touring pro.

COMPLETELY disagree. He has almost NO axis tilt.

How about Craig Parry?Disagree on this one also?I have more examples.

Yup, disagree about Perry too. You're right that his shoulder starts OUT first but his spine angle at the top is almost reverse pivot. Then his hips drive very hard, he has a very large OTT move (which he is able to get away with because of how far away from the ball he stands), and then at the last minute his shoulder goes down as his 2ndary axis tilt is increased dramatically at impact.

You wanted to see a video of someone with tilt and their right shoulder out.I have shown it.I can show Bruce lietzke also.He has even more tilt than Parry with a round housing right shoulder.

This is FAR from conclusive on Craig Parry. In fact it only proves that the right shoulder going out causes an OTT swing.

How about THIS video of Craig Parry CLEARLY going down with his right shoulder and he is VERY tilted from takeaway to impact.

What is far from conclusive? You have already acknowledged that Parry has an out moving right shoulder but has tilt at impact which is what you wanted to see.Now you are trying to say Parry's right shoulder goes down late. What has that got to do with it?Craig has a OTT action and everybody knows it including himself.

Just becuase his right shoulder makes a late down move doesn't mean he's not OTT.

Precisely WRONG. I said "tilt" not tilt at impact. Any number of things can happen and people get tilt at impact. It's where you start the downswing from that's important for the right shoulder.

I'm sorry, you have lost me.When we talk axis tilt,I am assuming it's at impact. At what point in the swing are you referring?

If you are talking early in the downswing,Parry has plenty there also.

:D

No doubt. This is a good time to employ Brian's 'Catch The Drop' drill. The right shoulder has to work 'out' towards the ball. Just don't let the hands and arms start moving 'out' with the right shoulder.
