Rope Drill and Pivot

I was watching these on youtube and thought it was pretty cool. It really seems like it keep help your pivot and clubhead throwaway. If you have a pivot stall, you wouldn't be able to swing the rope without it beating across your back on the downswing, but if you use your pivot correctly the rope will work great.
I saw two videos off of Gotham Golf Blog Spot. I am really looking forward to trying these, to get a better pivot and some better clubhead lag/impact positions., Just wondering what anyone thought of these?

true, but with say a 42" rope the feedback is so much better. It really gets you winded and you feel it in your core and your legs. If you don't wallop it with your pivot and try to use your arms that rope will spank you on the back at the end of swing, there is no way to do this drill and be over the top. When I did it today I also noticed it was helping my axis tilt and keeping my head behind the swing bottom. For less than $5 at home depot, not bad. You could put some lead tape on end and then duct tape over that if you wanted one end weighted like a clubhead. If I could ever get my real swing as effortless as this whip of the rope is, impact would be incredible.

I like the drill, but just about anyone can swing a rope after a few tries. My 6 year old does it great. There's a little concern about the clubface that interferes with the translation into a golf club.

thx Kevin, I get what you are saying. You really are "whipping" it at the bottom. You would still need to focus on some impact alignments.
If you can just let the face work like a face as BM says, I think your pivot can square it up.
But it does get you out of an armsy, weak pivot mode. If you can swing the club like the rope and the face is good, I think you are way ahead of the curve.
It also keeps you from outside in over the top or getting your weight out over your toes. Also doing it in front of the mirror I was liking the axis tilt it was naturally forcing you to do.

I think swinging the rope kinda puts you in a decent path/plane just naturally kinda like the "swinging" in soft draw.
