running out of right arm

It sounds like you may be losing imperative number one, the flat left wrist, rather than running out of right elbow bend. Check your fix position. Look, look, look. It is possible to take a shallow divot with both arms straight because the weight of the golf ball will drive the clubhead down.

yeah i hear ya...we just had a talk abt fix not too long ago. i think i have less forward lean at impact than fix.

searching for the reason why.

...i'll be hitting down on it one of these days...

Your PIVOT is the problem.

If you "run out of right arm" it is a PIVOT PROBLEM 90% of the time.

What "Running out of Right Arm" means in English is this:

You can't reach the ball with a properly bent right arm at impact.

Just remember these beauties:

• The clubhead goes downward, outward, and forward to impact.

• The right shoulder goes goes downward, outward, and forward to impact.

• The Center-of-Gravity goes goes downward, outward, and forward toward impact, then goes SHARPLY left.

• The Left Shoulder RETRACES ITS BACKSWING PLANE early in the downstroke. Axis Tilt happens later.

:D

I think that this a key one...having never really heard of axis tilt two years ago... the first thing you do is overdo the tilting....straight from transition...and that causes problems....

That is why it is a key one!

What kind of a pivot problem?

Right shoulder

This one is my key - I picked this up from Brian's golf channel instructor video and it transformed my iron play. I was plagued with a pull hook and this move fixed it.

Thanks for that
