Ryder Cup's limit on participants

Have golfers like VJ, Els, Weir, been publicly upset or critical that they aren't allowed to participate?

They shouldn't. They have the Presidents Cup. The Ryder Cup was just for England, then England and Ireland, the at the request of the U.S. so that it would be competitive (it wasn't , we always won) all of Euorope was added. Its just a simply match play between american and england with a few euro thrown it. It is somewhat of a milestone that someone other then a Brit is captain. Seve was the first. Anyone but James. Did you read the Jacklin interview? James was hated by his own team.

There is talk of eliminating seperate cups every year against the US and going into a round robin. Winner plays one of the others every two years. If this happens the US may only play once every fours years. We stink at this stuff.

i think that round robin idea would be great it would really put the screws on the guys and then everyone could play eachother instead of always having the presidents cup which everyone knows is just like a stepchild

round robin idea ain't gonna happen...the PGA makes too much $$$ on the ryder cup just the way it is...
