Secondary axis tilt - what exactly is it?

This is good old fashioned "axis tilt" as dubbed by Homer Kelley. "Secondary Axis tilt" was the term used by Mac O'Grady to describe the same thing, as he used the term "Primary Axis Tilt" to define the golfer's forward inclination, which Homer Kelley called "waist bend."

Nobody talks much about it any more, as right side bend, and forward bend, etc have replaced the idea.

But it is still a valid idea, and the MAT-T system uses the same tow point I used (nobody told me to use them) near the tailbone and the point around the between the shoulder location and the base of the neck.

The pic on the left is where just about very good player we looked at on the MAT-T system still had there nearly same angle as the had at address and through the swing. That's when the golfer starts to really assist the arms and hands as the golfer tongues about the coupling point in a couple of planes of motion.

Interestingly, it the same spot where LOTS of things happen, including the first decrease in acceleration of the hips and the torso.

The average difference was 7-10% for the extra tilt to the right.
