Should I be feeling the club shallow out on my downswing?? I'm really struggling lately and am so confused about swinging around my body or not? I seem to hit it better with a pretty steep swing. Swinging flatter just seems to exagerate my fade. argh

You only work on "shallowing it out" if you are above plane. If not, leave it alone. Also being on a steep downswing plane isn't a bad thing, don't get that confused with being above plane

I'm confused. What's the difference between having a steep downswing and being above plane? I thought they would be the same thing.

Thanks,
p

Let me clarify..I am above the plane and trying to swing the club more "around my body" like a baseball bat is not helping. This is not a clubface issue so I guess I'll just go back to working on 1)hip slide-tailbone past neck 2)right shoulder in pocket 3) right forearm close to right leg 4)swinging under the stick all the usual suspects
I guess this is just a lack of talent; thinking about changing my screen name to "just can't get my teacup tilted"

Turned shoulder plane is a steeper plane than the elbow plane, however both are acceptable planes to swing the club on.
