Just goes to show that the golf swing is not that hard to learn. The problem is trying to learn it as an adult when you no longer have imitative skills. That's the problem with getting older....silly things like reason and logic take over. :)

I wish I could have my imitative skills back for about 2 weeks.

I'm reminded of the story that Feherty tells about Els' reaction to a shot Tiger played out of an impossible lie in the rough in which Feherty said Tiger's divot flew farther than he could have advanced the ball. Els' comment - F-me... That's pretty much how I feel...

Man........that's all Els said? Disappointing.

He shoulda told Fehrety something like he'd show him how far HE'D fly. (after he threw him)

Speaking of ben doyle whats on his plastic sheet that he gives instructions on?

Its called his facts and illusions mat - it actually started from a few lines drawn on an old window blind and evolved from there into its now 7th revision.

Birdie man, I think you misunderstood.

This was a very, very funny moment. Els had blasted one right down the middle and Tiger had an impossible lie in the rough that no mortal could advance very far. When Tiger did what Tiger does, it was Ernie's honest reaction and realization that he's playing for first in the second flight (along with his fellow PGA members).

Anyway, when I saw this incredible 4 year old with a better golf swing than I'll probably ever have, that was kind of my reaction too - that I'm an 11-HC hack and that is a very harsh reality for me. There was no intention to be offensive. Sorry if that was the case.

Watson..... I read that same article. It's a very funny story and you can just see Ernie's expression during it. Feherty was saying that if HE personally (Feherty) had tried to hit that shot that his ball wouldn't have gone as far as Tiger's divot. Ernie was so astonished by the shot that Tiger had just hit that he looked at Feherty and dropped the F-bomb. It's incredible that the top players in the world are STILL amazed at some of the stuff Tiger can do.

They need to get over their awe, and stop exalting him like a fan.

I hate commentators who say .... like if anyone else tried that shot they would break their wrists.

Best Tiger post I ever read

Thank You. I admire Tiger, however the constant gushing on TV is terribly annoying.

I'm not trying to turn this into a Tiger debate, but when the best in the world are in awe it's hard to deny how good he is.

I imagine most of players are fans of his anyways. I bet they ALL realize that it's sort of like his signature is on every big fat check they take to the bank for a top 10 finish. :)

As for the gushing from the commentators, I'll take that over their swing commentary any day.
