Shot shaping - "New Release" formula for different shapes

Like a lot of people, I started golf with a big banana ball slice.

After years of this and that, I totally lost the shot from my game. Sometimes I kind of missed it......the contact was often pretty sweet. In fact, on the days where I was hooking, hitting it heavy etc etc, I really missed it!

Anyways....messing about on the range, I figured out how to hit it again with the following simple method.

1) MAYBE have the ball a bit forward, stance a bit open (not even sure this is needed, but for tradition's sake....).

2) Stand a little bit closer to the ball (Lee Trevino's advice, I think it works cos it helps with no. 4).

3) Swipe at the ball with your hands (maybe finish with the club quite low)

4) Restrict the motion of your left shoulder

What do you know: a big high banana slice!

(For a screaming low hook, it's ball back, very little release of the hands, hard release of the left shoulder)
