shoulder turn on the forward swing

Imagine a teeter-totter that can spin around too.

The distance the shoulder is from the axis point will always be the same because physically they have to be. But they can tilt while turning and in most cases do.... just like one kid going down as the teeter-totter spins around.

I rarely ever see anyone turn their shoulders EXACTLY along a plane. If they did, then they weren't shifting their weight with their lower body very effectively.

Ringer ... lot of wisdom in your signature ... torque not lag. Kinetics not kinematics.

Glad to see you are back Ringer, you have been missed.

What are you talking about? MJ's shoulder video is pretty much exactly what we are talking about here.

Correct me if I am wrong (I am sure someone will) but I believe I have read on this site that recent finding have discoved the right shoulder does not go at the ball but above the ball.

In his video he says to drive the right shoulder toward the ball but he also has a new video out and he says to drive the right shoulder parallel to the plane the hands take to the ball.

Jerry,

I don't think you are going to get spoon fed here on the Mike Jacobs stuff. Suggest you go to his site and watch the explosive golf show videos - season 4 and 5 - to get the complete picture.

Drew

Thanks Drew I didn't know what to do without your suggestion.

Trevino stood a good ways from it with real steep shoulders on the downswing. Steep shoulders shallow out the angle but the club can still swing out and around with enough turn like Lee did
