Brian what are your thoughts,

On the "Hit It Right" beta tape you said that you go back and forth between a single shift and a double shift. I believe you said you were presently using a single shift.

Would you give your ideas as to the advantages and disadvantages of each? Does is there a particular ball flight associated with each? Please include as much detail as you can.

Thanks,

ldeit

Brian: You say that Tom Bartlett has a single shift downswing. Some of the posters on his thread indicate a preference for the double shift downswing . When you are teaching a pupil what do you look for when deciding that the pupil elects for a single or double shift downswing ? Will the pupil fall into one of these options naturally and that is what dictates which route they should take? Or is there more to it? Thanks
