Smartstick....and why lasers are NOT the be all, and end all.

When is this soft draw pattern going to be released? I have seen some people mention it, is it going to be available as a download like NSA?

Thanks Brian.
Great description.
The better you get the better we all get and the better my students get.
Cheers from Down Under.

What's the big deal here.

You can have a Closed Straight Plane Line which is going to hook the ball with a square face or slightly open face at Separation. And that is in the book.

I am not talking about stance lines vs. ball flight lines vs. plane lines.......!

Trust me, it is NOT in the book.

But what Brian is talking about is a straight straight plane line with a clubface that is open to the plane line!

As the clubhead travels downplane towards low point, it's going forwards, down and OUT. The more the clubhead goes down, the faster the rate at which it goes out. In other words, if the clubhead is not going down at all, but just going forwards, then it's not going out either.

As the clubhead gets closer to low point, the RATE at which the clubhead goes downplane decreases, and hence the rate at which the clubhead goes out also decreases.

Brian, I have to disagree with you on this one - not with your statement about the lasers - but with your statement that "it is not in the book".

Your example is just an exaggerated 2-J-2 inside-out impact without an inside-out stroke.

"So if Impact occurs before the low point of the arc is reached it is an inside-out Impact - or hit- and the Clubhead will still travel outward and downward after Impact...."

But the book says the ball will still go straight!!!

And...it absolutely won't.

brian, can you please post some video or diagrams to explain this, as i, and from what i can gather most people here, cant grasp the concept.

thats if you have enough free time ;)
