Wow...I must have swallowed the whole pill bottle. :D A few months ago, I started working on hitting more DOWN on my irons, as my club pro said I was too shallow with them. Well...a recent Trackman club fitting showed my 6-iron angle of attack between -4.0 and -5.6. Guess now I need to shallow it out some!
P.S. Love the MP-62s that I bought as a result of the Trackman club fitting.

First of all, not everybody needs to hit exactly 3.5 degrees on their 6 iron. Tour average is 4.2 so dont worry. Its HOW your hitting down that matters more.

P-master, tell me about your iron fitting on Trackman.

New
The newest thing I learned was to trust my gut and the ball flight. Been drinkin too much of the company kool-aid!

The Lagging Clubhead Takeaway transformed my game, more distance, higher trajectory and more control has made the game fun again.... Its just a shame I don't really understand why it makes that much difference

Cheers

that you never know everything

This is ultimately what I'm left with as well. What I know pales in comparison to what I don't, especially in light of the new and exciting Trackman findings. I think the surface has only been scratched, and that's pretty cool considering how much information is already out there.

D-plane, trackman, non pop-out takeaway all of these things have made huge differences in my understanding of the golf swing.

Putting these concepts into practice has been difficult, but looking forward to more discoveries as time goes on.

As far as playing well on a day to day basis, probably just understanding I only have to do a few things well to maintain a decent enough level of ball striking. The logic behind it is extremely complicated however you just need to boil it down to really kindergarten stuff. I don't even really have to think anymore because I trained myself to do certain things. I can have a break from the game for months and still strike the ball ok and instantly know where I am going wrong and get it all back extremely quickly just simply because I understand what is it that I do very well.

I never really talk in the indepth manner like I used to because really you guys aren't interested. It is not really going to help your ball striking if I prove something to you, all you care about is hitting better shots and any information I provide should bring you better shots or your not ready for it. The only people it would help is those that like it complicated to get the trust factor, only to have it simplified later.

Really, the golf stroke isn't that difficult when you see it in the correct manner.

How much easier everything becomes when you have good clubface control. And particularly when the face is not a bunch too open, of course.

Homer was right on this one (and not to mention Brian)...more info. will only lead to more confusion until...

I still can't believe it is not common knowledge.
