Steep Shoulders & Flat Arms

You (we) need to start sending golf digest/magazine articles from this site when they publish these "new revelations" by people like Lead, Harmon, Flick, McLean etc. Sort of a "hey Manzella has been teaching this for years" type thing.

BTW, that steep shoulder thing looks so unnatural, why would anyone try and get to that position?

GOOD VIDEO BRIAN. Thanks.

...

Hey I'm trying to save it to my computer......when I click "Click here to download it" all I can get is a soundfile.....sound but no video.

I have the RIVA player but I get only sound....same with a few of your other vids.

Any ideas?

Absolutely... and BM.. I'd love it if you explained a little bit about how this "steep shoulder" and almost reverse pivot crap is screwing with people's right shoulder.

Good video, Brian

BTW, is it the same old trusty Cleveland club that you use in Building Blocks......:D

You mention Do it right. Where can I purchase that vid?

I think this is a terminology issue. When I say too flat, I mean that he is not bent over enough, in other words he is losing his spine angle. And it's usually the downswing where it happens, more than the backswing.

Brian losing weight?

Enjoyed the video as usual. Question is have you lost weight? Some of the gut you had in "Building Blocks" seems to be gone. Looking good.

I would love to know why too?
I have a center head in my backswing, and still don't shift my COG to the right. My right shoulder does not move down much.
Just don't know why what I am doing is bad. I hit the ball very well and with great distace. I teach this way and I am not into changing unless someone really shows why its better. Just saying it is won't and the article in GD did not say much for me too.

Brian has been losing weight for a while now. I believe Building Blocks was shot before he lost a lot of weight.

Do you really want to SEE why it is better?

Really?

I really liked this home clip you made. Visually really proved why a more 'natural' shoulder turn would be heaps more beneficial for most golfers. Instead of some of that GD steep shoulder turn I see on some people.

The Truth.

You know why nobody REALLY wants to know WHY ANYTHING I teach is better?

Becuase the ONLY REAL WAY to prove it, is to have me come teach live and show 'em.

And, believe me, nobody want to do that.

So, here we sit, with LOTS of answers to questions that all these people, teachers, companies, magazine, Titleist TPI, etc. has spent millions to NOT find out the answers to, and all they need to do is wacth me teach and I'll show 'em ad then explain it to them.

Nope, that might make ME right.

And, we can't have any of that.

Let me assure you Brian......there ARE people that want to know why what you teach is better. Take it from a guy that has spent years taking lessons from a guy with Tour players in his "stable", and from a guy who has hit more balls than a lot of pros do in that time. Yet here I sit, with the same problems I had two years ago. Oh yeah...my plane is better!! But my ball striking isn't.

That's why I am flying over a 1000 miles in April to see you. "I" want the right answers, and I will put my money on you having the right answers.

Otto....

So sorry. I meant TEACHERS with agendas.

:)

If the "Golf Establishment" would just talk to my students, esp. the ones that have worked with "name" teachers first, they'd put me where I belong on those STUPID lists.

Make a video?

Dana,

You'd have to see it in person to rreally see why it is better about 90% of the time.

I am coming to the West Coast this year at least once, and maybe twice. Two of which will include "Pro Only" seminars. You should attend.
