Strong Grip and Lag

well guys this is my first post or post reply, however i think the when the ball goes left as a result of a strong grip. players learn to hit it later.

You are right! That is one reason why young kids develop crazy accumulator lag. Post more.

I think a strong grip allows a player to hit the ball with the pivot because he does not feel as though he has to add with the hands.

This is interesting. I just had my first proper lesson a couple of weaks ago. The pro took one look at my swing, which I(as best I could alone) modeled after the NSA pattern.(neutral grip, twistaway, wedding ring up etc), and he then said I had an extremely weak grip and was to "armsy".
He then gave me the strongest grip I've ever seen, told me to make a smaller backswing and said: "pivot, pivot, pivot" and "hips, hips, hips"

I immediately gained like 20 yards with my 8 iron but I also hooked some of them 30 yards left.
Don't know what to think.

I think the strong grip allows you to pull harder with the pivot as Brian mentioned earlier.
