swing sequence to review

nevermind,

Zero-shift from the top. A zero-shift downswing, which is what vj is talking about. I've never seen a pure single plane swing.

One more thing:
Chuck Evans, another TGM GSED, has been quoted to say that Homer said if the general public would simply do 3 things, they wouldn't need to buy his book. The three things were: 1.) take the club up turned shoulder plane 2.) take the club down turned shoulder plane and 3.) add an appropriate hinge action for the desired ball flight.

I'm going to try and get as close to that ideal as is physically possible for me.

MizJoe, if you read vj's posts you will see his intention is to develop a zero shift swing.

MizJoe why create confusion by talking about zero shift other than for the entire swing? Why not use TGM terms and definitions, after all, they were created to help eliminate miscommunication. If vj was talking about a single shift he can mention that specifically, if he is yet to learn the meaning of zero, single or double plane shifts, we should endeavor to share that knowledge, not cloud the issue.

Now I know my lines ar less than perfect, but they aint that bad! MizJoe, even if every frame after address was on the TSP, still it would fail the TGM definition of a zero shift. Looks like single shift in this sequence to me.

Phil's right forearm and shaft should be more in line at address for an improved top arm flying wedge. #3 frame Phil is off plane.

This is why Homer said he didn't care if you looked like a circus clown on the BS. Look at frame #4. What really matters is getting to the top with a cranked flywheel(physics) in a good position(geometry).

Now if someone wants to set up at address with his forearm and shaft on the TSP, that's his choice, but he will in fact look like Homer's circus clown.

Never have I implied that I think zero shifting on the TSP is great, or not great. My point is, in the book, when discussing the number of plane shifts, it's in relation to the entire swing. If someone talks about single shift this or zero shift that everyone automatically knows what they're talking about. That's the beauty of TGM. Anyway, it's no big issue, I mentioned I'd never seen a zero shift on the TSP, you supplied a link to a single shift. Big Deal. No harm done. I'd still tee it up with you Miz.
