Lynn I have worked with Brian Manzella, Matt Killen, and Mike Finney throughout my years of playing competitive golf. All of these guys have helped me a great deal and are very good at teaching and explaining the golf machine and swing, but I do not believe they can not be out taught!!! As a friend and a student to Matt Killen I believe that he has helped Perry maintain his swing and make minor adjustments. He also helped him learn a wedge shot that he used at Pinehurst a lot and he continues to use this shot a lot. He has also helped make minor adjustments to his swing that has had dramatic results in his consistency. I know personally for a fact that Killen instructors Western Kentucky's Boy's and Girl's golf team and since he has started there has been improvement in the program.

Sincerely,

Craig Magruder(Mikestloc's Asst.)

He is coachless...and should STAY that way.

Brian is correct on this issue. John Holmes is a freak of nature!!!!! I have never seen anything like him. He can hit the ball 370 in the air!!!!! I have gorwn up playing golf with him and Jessie Mudd and he is a sheer freak of nature!!!

Craig,

Thanks for the nice comments. Holmes is a great player and I wish him the best. It is great to see someone from Kentucky be able to do what he has done.

Welcome Matt!

I hope to meet you soon and welcome your into the TGM family. Finish that AI program, so we can have another of us on tour.

You realize that most people just have no idea that a 20 or 21 year-old can know some good stuff.

Minus a Kenny Perry, I was you once, 20 years old on the lesson tee, working the Juniors at City Park in New Orleans. I was only 27 working for David Toms on tour.

My advice to you is learn from as many AI's as you can, and watch some old-timers like me work the Mr. Fabershams ;)

Go get 'em kid!

I don't know Matt but I'm a fan and would think he'd be great for the future of TGM. He should be embraced by TGM, especially with a guy like Ron vouching for him.
Even if he and Kenny weren't Taylor Made guys they'd still be okay in my book.

Brian,

Thankyou for the nice welcome. I hope to meet you sometime in the future. I have heard many good things about you and I hope everything is going well. It is hard being young for sure, the only people who dont want to give me the credibility are teachers for the most part. Which is fine, I care only what my students think and I'm sure you feel the same way. I am becoming more comfortable, Kenny always introduces me to other tour players as his instructor, and I have never once had a laugh or smirk. I am always looking for new information and people to learn from. Are you staying busy over the winter?

Matt Killen

You are welcome Matt.

When I was 22, I was EASILY the best teacher at a range with over 20 independent teachers.

They did everything but shoot me.

Yet, here I am.

Just keep getting better and find a way to BRAND yourself.

CJ, he just got tired of gettin' outdriven.
