Brian,

I am not a student of the golfswing, I have been a pretty good natural athlete all my life and pick up on things pretty well. However, golf has been one of the things I have been not so great at. There have been moments when I have shot par, but overall, I can never seem to get all of the game working at the same time, just parts.

I wanted to thank you for your article concerning the grip. After reading your article I used your teachings and I have worked on my grip the last 2 nights after work. What a difference!!! This so far has all but solved me leaving the clubface too far open at impact with my driver. I have not been hitting balls, but just looking at the direction of the grass stains on the bottom of the club. A huge improvement in just a grip change. Sure, it feels a little weird, but is getting more comfortable.

Thank you!

Brad

Ditto to what Br said.

I read a lot of what Brian posted on FGI and was intrigued by some of the things he was saying. I have lurked here regularly since it was set up and recently read the article on the grip.

Then something that Brian said to Hue clicked with me with regard to getting more of the heel pad on top of the club.

I tried the new grip for a couple of range sessions and was impressed with the new found control I had over the club.

I was so impressed with the results I emailed another FGI member privately, attaching a copy of the article and telling him about my results with the new grip.

To my amazement he had already read the article, had tried the new grip and was experiencing some very good results as well.

Despite all I have read about the grip over the years your article and subsequent posts with Hue has finally nailed it for me.

Add my thanks to Brs.

Looking forward to future articles.

Yes, I have read that article too before Slasher emailed it to me.
Thanks for the article Brian, very simple to read and understand. It takes some getting used to but I think it will work pretty well.
I already have more control of the club and am hitting it well.
Alex

Just another note:

I used the new grip with a newly acquired SMT DB 455 with a Harmon Tour Design GXS.

Gosh, that thing is big, but.

With the new grip and this club I won the long drive hole at a Church sponsored event with a 320 yard drive dead center. No fade, no draw, just BOOM. My first trophy for an LD hole at an event.

I only missed one FW, which was the last hole, I tried to overswing, which was not the clubs, or a grip fault.

Thanks again Brian!!
