The devil went down to Georgia

I, Diggerdog, had an immense treat today by spending an afternoon at lunch with Brian, followed by an intense range session. I stand here, now, a few hours since our lesson, with a new concept and understanding of what a golf swing should feel like. The man can simply flat out teach. As a pull-hooker who fights the lefts real bad, I degrudgingly accepted his advice to full swivel the clubface to where its face faced the gound at followthru. What followed were some of the most pure, crisp shots I have ever hit, but more importantly, a new understanding. It's like living in the same house all my life, and finding a room I never knew existed.

And let me tell you, he snatched a 4 wood out of my bag and striped the most incredible 260 yard drive into a slight breeze off the deck. His clubface locks onto the ball like a bunker-busting missle. Thanks brian for a memorable day. Now send me that $20 you promised for my post review.

What was the cause(s) of your lefts?

Wish I had know B.M. was going to be in town! I would have tried to schedule a learning session while he was happy, before the game.

Well, even though my Tulane grad dad brought me up to hate LSU,
I've converted in my old age.

Geaux Tigers!! :)

I had been working on down and out, and not the up and in, which is the swivel. Just the down and out can cause steerring and quitting if not complemented with post impact, or post followthrough swivel. Concentrating or training with the swivel prevented my constant quitting.

DId a lot better at the range from pw to mid irons. Could feel the clubhead overtake the hands with number 3 accumulator roll, maintaining a flat left wrist and bent back right wrist, and felt the force of the lagging #3PP, which actually got stronger during and after impact. Weird. I normally completely lose #3PP right after startdown. I think I am finally feeling the swinging through to finish, and I am now starting to understand why impact isn't a station, and finish is.

Finally had courage to use swivel on my last ball I used for my driver. Wow. After an afternoon of 160 yd slices and 100 yd popups, the swivel made this ball go 210 yds straight.

Brian's fix, for the hanging on the right side fault, "If you can learn to rotate your whole left arm through the ball without bending your left wrist at all, you will be on your way." was supreme!!!!! Thanks a lot!!!
