The grey area...

I've kinda blindly stumbled across the "less downloading" thing a week ago. Definitely an area that needs some attention. Easier to accomplish with more or less wrist hinge going back? Or does it matter?

I would think more in terms of early or late. Late tends to lead to downloading for me, so I try to set them earlier.

Less wrist hinge from 30 yards and in for a standard pitch. More and earlier hinge to prevent down loading from further distances. Upper left arm close to chest and bend the left wrist whilst holding the loft.

Big thanks. I think this might be where some of my problems are coming from.

I know that everyone's got to find their own way and do what's best for their own game, but for someone who enjoys competitive golf and does whatever they can to shave/save strokes, this site is MONEY. The hands on instruction and online help I've gotten from the instructors here in the past year has been more valuable to my game than the instruction I've gotten from everyone/everywhere else in the past 3-5 years - COMBINED.

Where is all this coming from? Well... I saw two friends today I haven't seen in a long time - Kick-in and Tap-in. This grey area has been such a thorn in my side lately. I'm stoked to see drastic improvement is such a short time. The shots that weren't naked were on line and solid. Something that's been absent for way too long. I'm sure I'm not cured yet, but I'm off life support, out of the hospital, and doing well in therapy.

I've been banging my head against the wall trying to crack this nut on my own for a while. To say I'm thankful for all the help is an understatement. With that in mind, I'd like to show my gratitude with something tangible. For all who offered their expertise and/or advice, I will be making a sizable donation in each of your names...

That's so very kind of you, Mike. Can you send me the relevant tax forms for my "donation;" it is that time of year!!;)
(Glad to hear you're rocking and rolling again...Only had to be a matter of time)
