The importance of the right (trail) shoulder

As a former BPS sufferer (video confirms this) it is amazing to me how much down the right (trail) shoulder must go down to impact and beyond.

The "feeling" for me, in the downswing, is that my upper body is turning in the opposite direction that the club is moving, and that my right shoulder is tracing a line closer to my feet than the ball.
This feels dangerous to me, as how do you guard against reverting to being underplane.

On video, it looks good and the club moves really fast through impact.

This downswing feels strange to me, and does anyone have any suggestions
on how to check that I'm doing it right (or wrong).

Thanks
