The pull up

I have been starting the "pull up" from the top of my back swing and it is working well. Too early?

You SHOULD pull on the arms and club from the top—of course unless you overdo it, but that's another story.

The main thing is DO NOT START THE LEFT SHOULDER UP too soon.

And "go normal" like a big dog.
 
Brian, what's are your top drills for getting the left shoulder moving down and out instead of shooting up too soon at the start of downswing? I can do it real good all day long without a ball, but the moment I try to create some speed, my left shoulder shoots up waaay too early.
 
Doesn't the "pull up" means L shoulder and L arm being "pulled" by the R arm? If this is so, it means keep the L arm being pulled by the R arm?
