I went to tne course yesterday to work on some pitch shots and found out they are oficially opening Thursday. The forecast for Friday is looking good.
After reading some posts somewhere about right forearm takeaway vs: shoulder turn takeaway I realized that somewhere, somehow, over the winter I had changed how I took take back the club. I hit a bag full of ~70 yard pitch shots using a shoulder driven take away with some good results. Gap wedge, 9 iron, and 6 iron using this method were all landing about the same place just on a different trajectory.
Brian, I am working backward on the chip pitch punch I guess but I think it's starting to come together. I just had to change my takeaway.
Using the shoulder turn I am finding it easier to keep the extensor action stretch in my left arm both back and through.
Like I said things are looking up.
Anyone want to play Friday?

That's terrific news, Steve. I'd play with ya on Friday, but don't you live in NY?

Hi Erik
Have you got the new clubs yet?
Yea I live in NY state. I didn't really expect to get any takers, I'm just glad to finally get out and play. I am not heavy into the TGM language but it would be nice to have some TGMers to play with once in a while to help reinforce things.

Yep. I got the new sticks. There are very nice, but it'll take some getting used to the longer lengths!
