His pride and joy has been made into a popcorn course by these guys. Has to be a world record already for number of birdies made in this type of event.

I like to see a course setup for a given event. In this case, it's team play exhibition and birdies make for more entertainment value than par grinds. Everyone knows the course has teeth.

More birdies the better! I can't imagine having to play team events for four days and grinding through it all. I think Jack knows what's up.

Close competition makes good team events and obviously after watching this, birdies have nothing to do with entertainment value. Check the ratings. They gonna bomb.And I have no idea what the 2 putts Els and Tiger made in their playoff were for, but that was great theatre. This golf couse is way too easy to test these players. Weather ruined the event.

You said it, the weather ruined it. Tough for a course to play firm and fast with torrential downpours. Any course is more scoreable when you can fly it at pins and take aggressive lines off the tee. The course isn't easy, the weather made it easier and they played a lot of up tees.

Personally, I like birdies.
