For the first time, I finally tried this drill this evening for a short time, before the rain. Yikes. If I hit a clean shot, no divot, at least none detectable. Otherwise, I hit it fat or the divot was directly underneath the ball as I chunked it. Without the ball, if my clubhead hits the ground in front of the imaginary spot where the ball would be located, the divot is about 4-6 inches in front of where the divot should be. With the ball, those are my super thin shots/skids.
