While I know this is not swing related the recent annoucement of a press conference that he will not take any questions at and the Lawyer Gloria Allred repping the whore/porn star (yes, in Nevada people pay to have sex with her) who claims Tiger owes her because he promised to take care of her for the rest of her life if she gave up a very lucrative and succesful porn career (I had to stop and laugh after reading that myself).
A. does anybody care anymore?
B. is it ever going to end without a divorce?
C. is his total lack of any humility just making this mess worse for him.
Inquiring minds want to know.

He's pulling an Alex Rodriguez and making his staement at an interesting time. Stealing thunder from the tournament whose sponsor dropped him first. Very classless. He wont win back many people with this timing.

Alex Micelli from Golf Channel echoes these sentiments, and says that a lot of the players do, too.

Agreed! Totally selfish and inappropriate! We can all wait till Monday to hear what Tiger has to say. It also shows how far Finchem is willing to bow down...get your ego in check, your priorities in order, and show some respect for your colleagues Tiger. Stop pushing this delusion that you are bigger than the game!!!!!

I find it ironic that a guy who is known for having a long memory and not forgiving anyone for what he perceives as wrong doings against him now has to ask for people to forgive him. Hopefully he grows as a person from this.

His statement tomorrow will determine how we all will view him from that day forward. I read a great line this morning in an article---everybody deserves a second chance but nobody gets a third

Perfect timing. He did the same thing last year and announced he would return to the match to rain on Lefties parade at Riviera.

The real question is, who DOES NOT want to see him tee it up as soon as possible?

I think it is perfect timing, this match tourney is a bit boring with the #1 seed losing and no other news of note surrounding the event.

He is going to read a statement and will never take questions, ever. He will apologize and consider it a closed matter. The PGA tour and the media around golf who are afraid to criticize him will never say a thing. Kostis criticized his swing once and was frozen out from all further interviews. Anything that comes out of his mouth is manufactured. His wife will probably never believe a word he says anymore, why should the public? Come back and play, if he wins congratulations. The national enquirer will now cover the Masters, what a great day for the game of golf.

Go Ernie

Ernie Els just spoke out, "...selfish...". Good for Ernie. Perhaps he was motivated by Tiger insinuating that Els didn't work hard enough to come back strong after his knee surgery. I respect Ernie for making no mention of PEDS and Tiger...so I will.

I've enjoyed watching golf without Tiger, it is much more about the game and far less about hero worship.

For me the bad behavior Woods showed when playing with Yang in the last round of the PGA was worse than all this other junk. Not much class shown there.

I am glad I am not the only person who feels this way, I think he is disasembleing his whole image and persona at such a rapid pace that by the time he actually steps up to the first tee of a tournament nobody is gonna care anymore.

This fits perfectly with America's tabloid and "Jerry Springer" popularity. Whatever his motivation, this will draw even more attention to professional golf--definitely not good attention. I can think of a few sponsors that would fit Tiger now to replace the ones he lost.

Seeing how the news conference will be over before anybody tees it up tomorrow how will the timing of this event hurt the WGC match play tournament? I've got to believe that people will be more apt to tune in and watch the tournament just to hear any commentary on the Tiger situation. Can that hurt the sponsor as Ernie Els claims?

As for not answering questions, what information regarding Tiger's infidelity is so important that it would require more detail than is already known? The only people who need to have answers are his family.

Agreed AndyC. I just want to watch him play again. His personal life is not up for anyone to judge. I hope he announces a speedy return. Bay Hill? Tavistock?

I actually think he is going to play next week. He needs to enter by tomorrow and his PR guy said that it was important that Tiger make his statement tomorrow and that it couldn't wait until Monday. So it would be logical that Tiger get his apologies and statements public before he enters a tournament.
