I saw him at the 2006 Open and he was playing with Goosen and his drives weren't much shorter than Goosen's so hes still pretty long and is very accurate with the driver.

Here is the Dubai results distances look about the same as the PGA tour. 281 yds was average drive for the week. Watson was second to last in distance by 1/10 of a yard.

I followed him at the Honda about 12 years ago in a practice round and it was like golfing nervana! the man never missed pure contact and seemed to be yawning from boredom. Wish I had a Casio back then.
