natep has hit the nail on the head: Without a clearout of the left side at least equal in degrees to the axis tilt you're gonna have problems. If there's nowhere for the arms to go because the left side is blocking, there's a chance that your left arm could wing a bit, and your release could be inhibited, with the natural corollary being an open face (push-slice). Moreover, if you feel that little horror show coming, you may jump the right wrist over the left in an effort to get it to the ball without ploughing it into the floor, and pull-hooks could come along.
