Torques on the club in transistion

Brian,

In your latest Live Stream Q&A video you talked about some of the torques applied to the club in the transistion. In your opinion, if the golfer applies more torque with his hands and his arms, instead of a ground-up managed transistion, does the face tend to open more in the start-down phase?

Thanks,

James

I think the key question is more the direction of such torques and or forces. If the arms and hands create the torques, the forces are typically more vertical which would open the face. If the torques are more body, hip driven, the club will generall "carry" more toward the ball making these forces more diagonal in nature.
