Ok, here is a quick back story: Single digit player and reforming hooker who has fought BPS and the hosel for 3-4 years when I am playing bad. I have been to see Brian 2 times and have improved a lot, but I can’t shake these periods where BPS comes back. I have never been able to feel PP3…..that I know of.
My question: How do I learn to lag the sweetspot?
In my lessons and research here I have learned to get on plane and swing more left. That has helped. I know that BPS makes it easier to lag the hosel. I know that if I add tilt too early, I get under it. I know there are tour players that swing too far to the right and they hit great shots all the time because they lag the sweetspot almost every time. I play a straight ball now, but what if I wanted to play a big draw? I couldn’t because I have not learned to lag the sweetspot.
How can I learn to lag the sweetspot only, apart from all these conditions that are designed to help me do just that?
Sorry for the ramble. I just wanted to get all my thoughts on this out in the open. I really want to feel whatever that feel is and eliminate this crap from my game for good.
BTW, I have hit shots with the right thumb off drill.
