Tour "pattern"

I don't know if we've talked too much in detail about this, but..With the patterns that are currently available to the public. In your opinions, What pattern is closest to what modern tour pros use? Just curious to see what everyone thinks..Then maybe the host will chime in and let us know what pattern it is and when it may be available...if not already.

Well, we do know that NHA is very much like David Tom's swing so can we consider that a tour pro pattern? Or are we gonna hear about 'Pattern 13' again to keep us salivating until it is released.

I'm not sure pattern 13 is "tour optimized", if you get my drift. I think it's driver optimized, but not what most players use through the bag as their "stock" pattern. I know the driver swing is different..I'm learning the hard way, but I'm not so sure pattern 13 is it. NHA...ehh...maybe on the PGA Tour. I'm looking for a more globalized type discussion. If you know what I mean.

We'll just have to wait until it's released to find out. For sure I am swinging my driver (or it feels like it) differently that my irons and I do struggle with the big stick on a weekly basis. One week it's on and the next it's off again.

Surely I do. I have seen some odd swings out here by the local professionals that works pretty well. Players like Jeev Singh, Prayad Marksaeng and a top China pro whose name has eluded me at the moment, have swings that 'looks peculiar' but they are playing top class golf tourneys.

I would dare say I do see a lot of SD type swings on the Asian tour off the tee. But on the fairway, I would see quite a lot of NHA type of movement. Maybe there is something to learn from there too.

i guess i don't get it exactly...are you asking what is the middle of the matrix? the "do it right" pattern would be the answer there.
however, you can play good golf with any of the patterns, you can see it on tour from constantina rocca to david toms...

Sorry for not being clear.. I guess my question is, What is the modern tour "optimized" swing, globally, not the more upright swing of the PGA and not the somewhat "flatter" swing of the Euro or Asia tour. Also, where are swings heading in your opinions? Anyone that has studied swings and the history of swings understands "trends" in instruction. Just where do you guys think we are heading..and what is "optimal"? Just a fun topic of discussion I think.

Swings seem to be flatter and more connected these days, I could see upright swings being more popular in future as tour pros try to keep their shots striaghter by swinging striaghter.
