Towel plane

The last time I did this towel plane board with the ball forward. I never hit the towel but the ball went right or sliced.

Does that mean I'm not turning the clubface off the plane?

I own NSA 2.0 should I continue working on the NSA pattern?

From what I understand, he's not hitting the towel for his "towel plane board" but still hitting the ball to the right or slicing it.

Sounds like your face is still open to me.

It sounds to me like this is an illustration of the very first lesson of NSA.

Why do you hit the ball right? Not because you come over the top, cast, stay back on your right, etc., but because your clubface is open (and all those other things are effect, not cause, of your clubface being open).

So, you can use the towel plane board and be relatively on plane but still slice because your clubface is open.

I'd say go back to NSA and work on grip, twistaway, and 'maintaining the twist', as from what you've told us here, it doesn't sound like you've fixed the clubface.

Yes I still have the face open.

What really amazes me is that I have always worked on plane and getting that toe up or open on the backswing.

Using twistaway is so foreign to me but when I do it and maintain it it really is majic.
