Actually, I think you can use the Flightscope app without the laptop. Ours isn't wireless, so I wouldn't know, but that's what I've heard.
 
The only one they've released so far (that I know of) is the "lite" app. The next version will be the one that doesn't need a laptop, which I think is officailly going to be released around the PGA Show.

I dont have FS so I only assumed by what I could read, I could be wrong.

"FlightScope® LITE enables you to view FlightScope shot data in real-time on your device via wireless connection to FlightScope Software."

I take it that you will get the data to "your device" that would be the phone, via Wi-Fi from the software. The software must be somewhere and to my knowledge it cannot be in the radar.
