Trouble getting on/under swing plane

All,

I'm having trouble with getting a feel for getting on/under the swing plane on the downswing. My downswing is steep and often results in fat and/or pulled shots. Any recommendations?

Thanks for your help,

The 2 primary reasons for the club to be on plane in the downsing is...
1. The left shoulder working down and away from your chin
2. The left knee working towards the target while you are completing your coil to the top of the backwing.

Dmadras,

Don't understand left shoulder working down and away from chin. Seems like it should work up and away from chin on downswing.

Thanks,

The left shoulder and left arm are never on plane. The right shoulder rides the swing plane. The left shoulder is a fulcrum.

c2, i work on my plane a lot, i use 2 dowells and i simply work staying on plane from shaft parallel to parallel keeping good hand/wrist alignments.
I also use a dowell to practice my pivot, holding it with my elbows and it across my back, that way i can see and stay on plane.

Ah....nope.

The primary REASON for the club to be on plane on the downswing is AIMed Clubhead lag pressure.

PERIOD.

Now, C21,

Where does your driver go?

Yes sir...pay attention to this one C21. Right shoulder goes downplane. Not straight down (as in down to the ground), but downPLANE.

Down this plane (the yellow line):

Mr. Manzella,

My Driver of late has been high trajectory and slight push/slices to the right. When I over-compensate, I hit a pull.

And, thanks Birdie Man for the link. It appears from the pictures that the right should goes down the shoulder plane not down and behind the hips?

Thanks,
C21heel
