I just recently understood what the heck everyone was talking about by putting the RF on plane and using a RFP technique. I tried it 2 days ago during my golf league and although it felt really "weird" to me I had good results. I had great contact but some problem with accuracy - I assume that is normal.
Couple things I noticed in my case was that it seemed to shorten and make my swing much more compact. Swinging "out" was a little more difficult for me; I felt like I was a little more "tense" I was using the "swinging" technique (spinning the shoulders and rotating the hips via the pivot. I think the reason it felt weird is bacause I think I've always been a hitter and was changing to a swinging motion.
After years of doing it wrong - I'm slowing able to incorporate the "right" things thanks to TGM. My chipping and pitching have improved tremendously - I chipped in on 2 consecutive holes the other day - Now if I can just get the putter "in gear"
