Tug & Sand Shots

Do the new ideas about the release change how people play sand shots? If so, how?

Seems to me that low point control is even more important on sand shots than any other shot.

Hands cant go forward or at the ball over accelerating in a bunker shot either

Sand play is all about controlling low point. The "tug" changes low point. Thus, my question about the "tug" related to bunker shots.
