I like to listen to Jim Nantz. To me, that guy = the voice of golf. I know he doesn't talk "swing", but I just like him.

Nantz? Really? The perfect guy for the corporate CEOs who are Augusta members. Bland, colorless, lacking in personality, a master of the obvious, and he never offends. A much more polished version of Kelly Tighlman, who loves to tell the "heart-warming" stories they love for Olympics (sports coverage for non-sports fans). He sounds like he's selling cadillacs to 75-year olds. For me, having him do a broadcast is like having the sound off, you never notice he is there. Off-white wallpaper.

McCord has become an odd sort of self-parody who feels like he must interject some quirky personality tic every 5 minutes, but I would much rather have some personality than no personality. And golf-knowledgeable is a plus.

OMG, take it back!

I like Miller and Maltby,

Can't stand Dan (I am in love with Tiger every moment I am awake) Hicks.

Oosty and Gary (plenty of green to work with here John) Koch are aaaaaaahhhhful.

That assessment is absolutely spot-on!

I know this can sound a bit silly, but I really enjoy most of the golf announcers on TV, they all bring something a bit different. I like Nantz, Miller, Maltby, Feherty, McCord - they all do something I appreciate

I don't particularly care for Kostis, the voice of doubt that is Gary Koch and the American dumbass who ruins the Euro coverage on The Golf Channel ever so often, but really I just like watching golf and none of them bother me too much

I love watching the Euro telecast on TGC with Renton Laidlaw. Very understated and entertaining.

Nance = sanctimonious windbag

Kelly Tilgman = turn off the sound immediately

Love Maltby, Andy North on ESPN. Don't mind Dottie Pepper.

I used to greatly appreciate Nick Faldo because he was speaking from a viewpoint that few have insight until he told me today in the Colonial telecast that Stuart Appleby came over the top on his drive on 12. Very disappointing.
Best in golf,
MK
