Upper Body Lunge

I still have a bit of upper body lunge in my downswing, both downward and forward. Anyone have any good suggestions for eliminating this move?

I'm currently focusing on left shoulder up and not allowing the head to move until the right shoulder is under my chin on the downswing (with good results), but I don't expect that will work for more than about three more rounds :)!

I'd be interested in the answers to this one as well.

rundmc, to update you on my progress. The left shoulder up to initiate the downswing continues to work well as long as I don't move my head off the ball until the right shoulder passes underneath. I'll ocassionally pull the ball, but my ball-striking is much better.

For whatever reason, when I focused on the right shoulder during the downswing, it only made matters worse with regards to my lunge.

Brian has always said that "left shoulder up" works better than "right shoulder down" for like 95% of people.

I'm noticing this in giving lessons as well, however for me, it was right shoulder down.

The other trick is to make darn sure that your tailbone stays ahead of your neckbone through impact.
