And if the Midwest had only 5, OSU had 40% of them, both burners.

Well, let's see- in 2007 Ohio State had 2 first rounders- both speed guys (Ginn and Gonzalez) and 9 total picks. 2006 5 first rounders including 2 speed guys, total picked 9. 2005 0 first round, only 3 total picks. 2004 - 3 first rounders- 2 speed guys, 14 total picks.

Last 4 years- 10 first round picks, 35 total picks.

For the same time period(2004-2007):

Florida 2 first rounders, 21 total picks
Miami- 11 firsts, 29 total picks
LSU- 7 firsts, 22 picks

Should I get you Bama, Auburn and Georgia's counts? FSU?

I would bet in that time period Southern Cal is a clear runaway, with Miami, Ohio State, Texas, LSU next in line.

I think the thing with the Big 10 is that most of our speed guys seem to be wideouts. A lot of the southern teams have way more defensive speed than we do.

Leek and Bigwill,

Just given you guys some grief, one of the perks when your conference wins the crystal egg (for the 3rd time). I grew up in south FL, and went to the Miami games back when Howard coached and we played in everyone's homecoming games. Had to eat a lot of crow when OSU won (stole) their title. The Big 10 is a good conference (for slow ball), and if you guys ever get a true conference champ (i.e. a conference championship game), you'll be one of the top 3 conferences in the country.

Btw, bragging about the number of NFL picks on a team that doesn't do anything is not that great of an endorsement for your coaches. Besides, the best college players don't have to be NFL players (Heisman winners). You guys keep your heads down, work hard, keep cupcaking, AND with the right officiating crew I'm sure you'll win/steal another one.

What's better than college football?

Wow...:) That's ok. SEC is running the show-for now. We'll be back up top.

I have no doubt about that. There's bound to be some heartbreak when we hitch our collective wagons to these 18-21 year olds, but man, it's a fun roller coaster

Not all is dark in Ann Arbor.
Manzella's help has given me back a feel I had not knowingly lost, and has made me much more aware of my pivot.
12 under for my last three rounds.
Now if I could do something about my putting.
Thanks for the help, now come back with Miles and get this football team rolling.

I don't imagine Brian is all that interested in bringing Miles to AA.

By the way, this Buckeye wants Michigan to do well.
