Vertical exit

When I analyse my swing from down the line I notice that the shaft exits too vertically.

After impact, when my right arm is parallel to the ground the butt of the club is pointing well inside the base of the pane.

How do I get the shaft on plane at this point?

You are ABOVE THE PLANE at the point where your right arm is parallel to the ground & the butt of the club is pointing well inside the base of the plane.

To hit the ball from this ABOVE THE PLANE position, you have to swing BACK TO THE PLANE and all things being equal—and with a good clubface—you will PULL IT.

Unless....

You steer the heck out of it....

Which makes your shaft "exit" too vertical.

Brian,

I think you may have misunderstood.

My shaft is too vertical on the forward swing, after the ball has been hit.

Maybe you thought I was referring to the back swing.

My ball starts right of where I am aiming on nearly every shot, the result is one of the following:-
1) push
2) push cut
3) draw
4) occasional snap hook with the driver

On the rare occasion that it starts on line; it goes dead straight and very far.

I never pull the ball.

The butt of the club points outside the base of the plane on the down swing and inside the base of the plane on the through swing.

This is clearly an in to out swing path.

Where the hell are you getting the Pull from?

Are you really Brian Manzella?
