Wedding ring up and the 'new' release position

When I look all the videos that exemplify the new release position, I notice how the right wrist rolls over the top of the left....how is this different from the concept of 'wedding ring up'?

What the golfer is doing to the club during the push-pull and the radial force going normal could still be "caught" by a flat left wrist/ full roll swivel.

I know, because I've done it a bunch working on the new stuff and producing all the new impact alignments.

The ideal position for better players at this point, is more palm on the wall at that point.

I'm guessing, but I assume Brian means placing the right palm "on the wall" (i.e the one behind you) in the follow through. Wedding ring up would be an effort to keep the right palm facing down at the ground as long as possible. Palm on the wall would be a fairly natural release (flattening of the right wrist and bending of the left) all the way through.

Again, I'm guessing.

The new release position is nothing more than a subtle flip at best. At worst, it will become a massive flip. It should set scores back indefinitely. I read the entire thread, and if you were flipping before, just wait until you try the the NEW Release. Scores will go up for sure. What one does is not what they feel, and what one feels is not what they do.

This phrase is a bit cliche imo. At some point when you truly understand/master a particular movement in the golf swing you really DO feel what you're actually DOING. It may not feel that way initially, but if/when you get it right you're intention matches reality.

So far the only things going up for me are my clubhead speed and accuracy. God bless you all.

This has not been my experience. Handicap has been dropping like a stone since implementing my interpretation of the release.

Are you going to make a case for handle dragging (or whatever you prefer)? Or will you just peanut gallery the thread and move on?

Don't hi-jack his thread, if you have issue with the release make your own thread or add to the current one.

Ok first of all you're fos because if you read the entire thread you would know there are dozens of us on there who have posted having tons of success with this. Then since you like to read so much go back and read some of the threads that were posted over the last few months about personal stories and how this stuff changed peoples swings. Jeez

Yep and then when you trust that feel you can rely on it. Feel does become real. Like today when I was feeling like I was going to bury the club in the ground as hard as I could than I gave her an old push pull while yanking the grip towards me. It felt exactly like that and it works awesome.

Precisely. Does anyone believe that the best in the world are out there grabbing at straws hoping that what they feel like they're doing is actually what they're doing? I doubt it.

Now hacks on the other hand.

That's why all the bs about Hogan not really understanding what he was "really" doing is so absurd.

You seem to be missing a very important, if subtle, point. Its a Flick not a Flip. :)
